The Name Given for Our Salvation

Many people are confused about who their savior is. With so many denominations it’s hard to understand. Some people think Jehovah from the age of the Father is their savior. Some people think Jesus who came in the age of the Son is their savior. Most people today ask the questions: Who is the savior of my soul? or Who is the redeemer of my soul?  To find out the answer, we first need to know who the savior in each age is.

As everything under heaven has its own time and purpose, Gods’ work of redemption has specific times and is fulfilled according to each age.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens

The Bible says there is a time for everything, and every activity under heaven has a purpose. We too should have a purpose for everything we do on this earth. We must ask ourselves, what is our purpose in our life of faith? Let’s find the answer in the Bible.

1 Peter 1:8-9 Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

The purpose of our faith is the salvation of our souls (Eternal Life). In order to give us eternal life God divided 6,000 years of redemption work into 3 ages and gave us a different name for the Savior in each age.

Matthew 28:19 Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

God told us to baptize people in the name of the Father, in the name of the Son and in the name of the Holy Spirit. Because Father, Son and Holy Spirit are titles, this means that the Father, Son and Holy Spirit have their own separate names. The Bible clearly tells us the name of the Father in the Old Testament is Jehovah.  In the New Testament the name of the Son is Jesus. What is the name of the Holy Spirit? Most people have never heard the name of the Holy Spirit, so let’s study about the name of the Holy Spirt through the Bible.

Who Is the Savior in Each Age?

First, let’s find out who the Savior was in the age of the Father

Isaiah 43:11 I, even I, am the Lord, and apart from me there is no savior.

In the age of the Father people could be saved by no other name but Jehovah. Then when the age changed to the age of the Son, who was the Savior?

Acts 4:11 Jesus is “ ‘the stone you builders rejected, which has become the cornerstone.’ Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”

In the age of the Son. Apostle Peter said that there was no other name given to men by which we could be saved except Jesus. In the Old Testament the Savior of our souls was Jehovah but when the age changed to the age of the Son in the New Testament the Savor by which we must be saved was Jesus. God gave us a different name for the Savior in each age, so each name has a time limit.

Then what is the name of the Savior in this Age, the age of the Holy Spirit? Let us find out.

Revelation 3:12 The one who is victorious I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will they leave it. I will write on them the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on them my new name.

The “I” in this verse is referring to Jesus. So, the phrase “My new name” is Jesus’ New Name. Can the name Jesus be the New Name? NO. The reason is because it is not new. It must be a new name for Jesus for the age of the Holy Spirit. Let’s find another prophecy about the New Name.

Revelation 2:17 Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give that person a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to the one who receives it.

In this verse Jesus says, “To the one who is victorious” will receive a stone with a new name. Let us see whom this stone represents.

1 Peter 2:4 As you come to him, the living Stone—rejected by humans but chosen by God and precious to him

In the New Testament, Jesus is represented as a stone. So, when we substitute the stone for Jesus in Revelation 2:17, the new name written on the stone is Jesus’ new name. Only the one who receives and believes the new name will know the name of the Savior in the age of the Holy Spirit.

The New Name Christ Ahnsahnghong

We have studied through the Bible, that in this age that we live in we must know the “New Name” to receive the goal of our faith, the salvation of soul. Now how can we know the New Name? Is it by the internet or a famous pastor or priest? No

It is only through the Bible because the Bible testifies about Christ (John 5:39) So, only through the prophecies of the Bible can we know who the Savior is, who gives us the promise of Salvation in this age. Since God divided His redemption work into the age of the Father, the age of the Son, and the age of the Holy Spirit, and granted salvation through the savior’s name given to mankind in each age, we must seek salvation through the new name of Jesus in the age of the Holy Spirit.

The Church of God truly believes in the new name of Jesus; Christ Ahnsahnghong, who has come in this age, the age of the Holy Spirit as our savior. Christ Ahnsahnghong is 2nd coming Christ. He has come from the East as prophesied and brought back the truth of life, the New Covenant Passover. Only those who receive and believe in the new name of the savior in this age will receive the promise of salvation.
